As with Cromer several Caspian Gulls recorded at Kilnsea Wetlands, the typical July/August passage of juveniles, one shown here had a yellow ring, probably X23M.

Many different Caspian Gulls have been recorded on the beach by Cromer Pier this July/August. Three are shown here from 21 August 2021. A pale juv (1st 6 photos), a dark juv. (next 6 photos) and a 1st summer (final 9 photos).

Despite the spread of this species into and across GB, at least 26 present at GBs wader headquarters, they will always deserve more than a quick glance.
